Twas Tuesday and Bedlam in the city. Bedlam music that is. Johnny, Mark, and Paul played a rollicking evening at Merlin's Rest. The SjoBear arrived just as the set was due to start. He turned things topsy by having the boys start with their third set and it got nuttier, and more fun as it went. I've not heard them play full sets in way too long a time. It was a delightful evening. The wonderful folks at Merlin's were warm and welcoming as always.
My companion, a friend in from Seattle arrived late. asking if there was food she was told the kitchen had shut down but they would see what could be managed. They warmed up the last of the wonderful Guinness Stew, which having simmered the whole night was exquisitely flavorful. A total joy. For the last set two members of The Drunken Uglies played a couple of tunes, and another gentleman with a heavenly Irish tenor sang a bit as well. I admit it. It was late. I'd been into the Mother's Milk,(Guinness, pints and stew, ), and I did not catch his name. Wonderful Music, Great Folks, Great Food, What more do ye need laddies? See you next Tuesday!
